It's tough!

A class to normalise the real sides to Parenting, let's acknowledge the everyday pressures of parenting and how it makes us feel.
Discuss the myth of the 'perfect parent'!!
We will look at how balancing the role of parenting alongside the other roles of life impacts parents, and discuss steps to reduce this load
Discussion on how parenting effects relationships, and strategies both parties can introduce to try and improve this.
We will explore the differences in baby blues and post partum depression to raise awareness
I will offer support strategies and skills to parents so they feel recognised and supported mentally.
We will discuss your self care needs and strategies to make sure parents have the 'tools' and knowledge they need when times are tough so they remain present as a parent emotionally and mentally

There will be up to 15 women and possibly fathers, alongside Emma the counsellor. You're welcome to participate in the discussions or if you would prefer to attend and take in the knowledge and guidance this is okay too.

There will be free tea and coffee facilities, with some biscuits too!

It is held at the Carers Center in Hindley on WN2 3BD

The session will be on Thursday 11th September 2025 at 10am. I update the session dates weekly, so if you miss this date don't worry another will be added the next day for you to book on.
